This position will be responsible for maintaining the design, development, and operation of the association management system (netFORUM). This person will assist in developing and managing the association management system reporting and customizations and support AMTA staff on association management system-related issues.
Responsibilities:
Will assist in the administration and maintenance of the association management system, including development of minor customizations through system’s development functionality;
Serves as point person for help desk tickets regarding AMS, either resolving support requests in a timely manner or redirecting the request to an appropriate team member;
Coordinates, with Database Operations Manager, the end-to-end report development including interaction with staff to gather requirements, understand report objectives, design and develop reports using Microsoft SQL Reporting Services 20XX, and deliver and train end users;
Assists in testing upgrades, customizations and 3rd party integrations to the association management system;
Ensure all aspects of the association management system integrations are coordinated and functioning properly;
Coordinate efforts with website and association management system vendors when implementing functionality that requires web services;
Assist and provide guidance in developing SOPs for the association management system by creating written SOPs for new processes and updating existing SOPs when processes change;
In coordination with Database Operations Manager, monitors and administers association management system security. This involves adding and removing users, administering quotas, auditing, and checking for security problems;
Assists in onboarding and training new users on the association management system;
Serves as the primary customer service face for the department. Meet regularly with staff to update them on association management system changes, features and benefits and answer questions that will help staff answer members questions about the association management system;
Keep abreast of developments in internet technology, design features, and capabilities for the association management system that keeps current with .NET technology;
Perform all other duties as may be assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent problem solving skills with strong relational database knowledge;
Strong understanding of SQL server database and data modeling; experience with netFORUM Toolkit preferred but not required;
Knowledge of T-SQL and previous experience with stored procedures required;
Experience in DBA functions that include performance monitoring, database tuning, security and capacity planning preferred;
Experience in designing and developing reports using MS SQL Reporting Services 20XX or comparable equivalent such as Crystal Reports preferred;
Experience in designing objects and views using MS Visual Studio 20XX;
Experience integrating across software platforms through API using C#, SOAP web services, RESTful web services and XSL preferred but not required;
Experience working on a team and with third-party data providers;
Ability to gather information and analyze, conceptualize, set priorities, take initiative, work independently, lead a team and collaborate;
Ability to work under deadlines is essential with versatility and dependability for completing work on deadline;
Knowledge of MS Access and Excel (charts, reports, data analysis) and competency in other core Microsoft Office Suite product such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook;

Education and Experience:
B.A in IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience;
Two to three years of progressive IT project management experience with exposure to e-commerce, association management systems (especially netFORUM) or equivalent enterprise software, relational databases;
Experience in developing reports;
Experience in help-desk or end-user support preferred;
Experience with membership organizations and volunteers desired.
Comments:
This position interacts closely with all departments and staff at AMTA. This position may require some evening and weekend work. Employee must have the ability to travel.
