APTA Georgia, formerly known as The Physical Therapy Association of Georgia (PTAG), was chartered in January 1980 and is incorporated in the State of Georgia as a 501(c)6 organization. APTA Georgia is a component of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) (www.apta.org), which is the national professional association. The chapter leadership consists of an Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Additional volunteer leaders are organized across six standing committees (Executive, Nominating, Ethics, Finance, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Programming), three local area networks (LANs) organized by geographical location, eight focused-interest networks (FINs) organized by specialty interest, and several appointed workgroups.
