Raleigh-based trade association seeking take-charge communications professional well versed in the nuances of association workings to head up our Member Relations operations. This new position is one of two recently created positions to fill out member needs and our long-term growth strategy. The position will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing member relations, evaluating member satisfaction, and supporting the growth of our membership base. The successful candidate will be an engaging team player, who understands the mission of serving our member constituents. The key role this position serves, is as a first point of contact for members and potential members inquiring about ACEC/NC programs, resources, and events. This person will evaluate member needs using various platforms and products, help create new programming, and educational events and enhance our value proposition. This person will help target new potential members and work closely with the new Communications Manager to evaluate organizational growth and marketing opportunities.

The successful individual will:
live in the Raleigh -Durham area, this is not a remote position.
possess an upbeat, flexible, and professional manner when engaging with members and the staff team.
be a strong communicator, comfortable with making phone calls and engaging in F2F meetings.
have at least 3 years of experience in an association setting, where member interaction was part of the role.
possess knowledge of membership database systems and/or the acumen to easily learn them, as well as social media platforms that are used for B2B communications.
be highly organized and possess the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines as needed.
be productive in an office setting or remotely, as needed or available.
