The Association of Clinical Research Professionals' Certification Director will lead the success of ACRP's Certification program, with a focus on program development, program administration, and growth in acquisition and retention.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Lead and facilitate the development of the ACRP Certification product portfolio roadmap, inclusive of all product or service assets aligned to a long-term portfolio vision and the association’s strategic objectives
Develop and manage overall portfolio budget, including collaboration with Finance and other Directors to assure sound financial performance, healthy profit margins, and to meet financial targets
Lead the creation of new certification product concepts and own the development of new products, including integration of feedback from customers, stakeholders, and staff as well as pricing analyses
Develop and execute a plan to grow ACRP Certification program, including strategic and creative direction and metrics of success
Remain current on Association trends in certification and credentialing; remain current on emerging testing trends and best-in-class assessment approaches; integrate as needed into portfolio design and decisions to keep ACRP at the forefront of emerging technologies and processes
Perform regular reviews of ACRP’s Certification product portfolio for continued strategic alignment, leading reprioritization, adjustments to plans, and related allocation of resources as needed due to business changes or critical operational demands
Work with Strategy & Engagement to guide, develop, and implement effective marketing and engagement programs that communicate the value of ACRP Certification
Contribute ideas and work collaboratively with all ACRP staff, volunteer leaders, partner organizations, vendors to achieve the organizational mission, and continuously improve the value of the Academy and ACRP

Certification Management & Administration
Provide stellar administration for ACRP’s Certification program, meeting program goals as established, in part, by the ACRP Academy Board.
Administer all ACRP Certification programs, accountable for ensuring initial certification and maintenance cycles are executed according to standards, procedures, and timelines, including but not limited to:
Direct and manage the examination committees by developing and maintaining committee charges, the nomination process, and updating committee rosters. Schedule and participate in committee meetings, including exam development activities.
Develop and update all documents and processes related to certification maintenance.
Oversee test development, production, delivery, and post-administration duties for all examinations.
Provide oversight of exam development deliverables.
Manage recruitment process of Subject Matter Experts
Direct work of psychometrician activities
Ensure that certification programs are developed and maintained in accordance with current technical requirements and standards as set by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies Accreditation (NCCA and other accrediting bodies).
Serve as primary staff liaison to the Academy Board, coordinating closely with Head of Governance to schedule meetings, develop agendas, and taking minutes.
Lead and supervise ACRP Certification team members, including Manager of Certification and members of the ACRP Customer Support team; accountable for the team’s success, which includes:
Manage all aspects of maintenance process including: certificant notification; application review; and updating database records at close of each cycle
Manage the maintenance verification process
Manage the manual review of all applications that do not initially meet the criteria for maintaining a certification and provide final approval
Coordinate maintenance application processing with financial services, as well as process maintenance application payments

Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Access), Outlook, and internet applications; ability to rapidly learn new software products
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or equivalent work experience of at least seven (7) years in the certification profession at a stand-alone certification board or professional association. Association experience is preferred
