Position Summary:
This position is responsible for developing, facilitating and managing educational, promotional and issue driven content creation and help facilitate select events alongside the Industry Affairs staff. The Director position promotes NAB Education through personal appearances at NAB events and in other appropriate venues, represents NAB in social media realms and hosts various educational offerings including podcasts, webinars and meet-ups at events.
Essential Functions:
Create, develop, facilitate, coordinate, and implement conference content programming and education, podcasts, online education and other member focused educational content. This includes NAB Show Las Vegas and NAB Show New York.
Assist Industry Affairs department leadership in formulating ongoing strategic educational content creation goals and objectives.
Executive production and hosting duties for online member benefit offerings such as The NAB Podcast, webinars, various video projects and other podcast initiatives as they are developed.
Main point of contact with video production department to ensure all educational video projects are completed in a timely, professional fashion.
Support NAB's initiatives by providing video and audio support and services that inform members on major issues and enhance communications within NAB.
Work collaboratively with other departments to create educational content for NAB's Learning Management System (LMS) and onsite conferences.
Work with other departments to promote NAB Member Content to local, regional, national and international constituencies through NAB staff appearances at relevant conferences and events.
Assist with periodic committee meetings of industry leaders to support Industry Affairs projects based on committee feedback.
Other duties as assigned.
Internal and External Relations:
Internal: Effectively communicates and works with others in the Industry Affairs department and various other departments throughout the organization External: Effectively communicates with vendors, exhibitors, video production contractors, and NAB members
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree required
8-10 years of related professional experience
3+ years of radio or television industry experience a plus
Convention programming experience a plus
Scriptwriting, voice-over competencies and audio editing experience preferred
Proficient with Adobe Edit Suite (Audition, Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects).
Ability to travel domestically up to 10% throughout the year
Demonstrated knowledge of best practices and latest tools and tactics for creating content
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively and strategically build relationships throughout the industry
Strong administrative, organizational, and time management skills
