Job Summary:
The Membership & Events Manager’s major responsibility is to administer and support IECA’s member and field programs. This position is the front-line representative for IECA members. Additionally, this role supports chapter regional conferences & events, processing membership payments, managing written member communications, updating IECA.org to reflect accurate information, and keeping IECA’s member database up to date.
MEMBERSHIP AND DATABASE
Update IECA’s member database and assure data integrity to maintain accurate and non-duplicative entries.
Membership Management including, but not limited to renewal process, membership payments, and delivering membership information
Process membership payments – individual and organization.
Run daily reports and process batches to ensure database accuracy.
Review and keep organization websites up to date.
Manage the IECA’s Membership Booth and assist at registration desk for IECA Annual Conference & Expo.
Manage with membership projects as directed.
IECA CHAPTERS
Serve as customer service liaison between Chapter leadership and staff to assist in building and sustaining highly functional chapters and productive relationships between IECA national and Chapters.
Manage chapter partnership and event production for IECA Regional Conferences and Events as assigned.
Manage quarterly Chapter dues payment processing.
Coordinate communications to and from Chapters to keep leaders informed and engaged in IECA’s strategic efforts and to support their growth.
Professionally represent IECA at Chapter meetings as needed, IECA’s Annual Conference and other industry events.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Acts as the first point of contact for incoming calls and inquiry emails to informational inboxes. Direct calls and emails to the appropriate staff member as needed.
Support IECA events team as needed with events registration and attendee support.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication skills required, including ability to professional communicate in written and spoken word.
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite required.
Basic HTML coding experience or willingness to learn is required.
Experience with member/donor databases is preferred.
A timely response to inquiries and requests for service or products is required.
Well-developed customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people, solve problems and negotiate compromise, are necessary.
Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing circumstances is key.
Must be detail-oriented and able to process financial transactions with accuracy.
Must be able to work and contribute well in a dynamic small-team environment.
Must be able to meet deadlines for projects and be a self-starter.
A willingness to learn new skills and be a team player.
Credentials and Experience:
High school diploma required. Two years membership/customer service experience preferred.
Special Requirements:
Some travel is required primarily to assist with Annual Conference and Chapter events.
