The Director, Exhibits and Sponsorships assists the Vice President in selling exhibits and sponsorships working with 300+companies and 400+exhibitors each year as well as manages logistics for exhibits, sponsorships and advertising.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Sells exhibits and sponsorships for smaller meetings
Serves as liaison with the general service contractor for our largest meetings
Maintains, updates, and performs quality control reviews on the sponsorship and exhibit portions of the meetings’ websites, ensuring accuracy of logos, company information, and overall information
Assists with exhibitor and sponsor registration in advance and onsite at annual trade show and other large meetings as assigned
Assists with creating exhibitor and sponsor directories for conference and meeting programs
Responsible for keeping budgets updated
Analyzes statistical data from surveys
Researches and determines new leads and prospects for supervisor
Profiles corporate community in horizontal and vertical markets and assists supervisor in developing sales and approach plans
Attends outside trade shows as a representative of the association, as assigned
Interfaces regularly with corporate members and prospective members by addressing inquiries and requests
Assists with corporate partner plans and enters sales orders into the association database
Position requires flexible schedule to travel
Performs other related duties and assignments as required
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 10 years of experience in exhibits and sponsorships
Excellent analytical, communication, time management, project management, and organizational skills
Technical-savvy, with a working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Solid Web research skills and proofing skills
Database experience, iMIS preferred
Familiarity with exhibition management software such as a2z
Knowledge of email marketing platforms such as Informz
