Summary
A member of the Data Management department team that implements efforts to support organizational priorities and activities within the department. Supports unit efforts with a focus on departmental contributions to enterprise strategy for Association. Participates and support efforts for appointed and member volunteer groups and APTA leadership. Supports preparation of compliance requirements and documents and seeks out opportunities for continuous quality improvement in department activities. Effective champion of the Association vision, mission and brand.
Essential Functions
Responsible for the design and implementation of secure, efficient and accurate databases; maintain current and accurate knowledge of data storage and management best practices; assists and identifies and resolves production and/or applications development problems related to the use of the database management system software or utilities; provides support of and designs workflow solutions related to Microsoft Dynamics CRM/Association Management System and related databases;
Implements work plans related to respective activities of the Information Technology; department which align with organizational priorities and the Association's operations strategy and systems and data;
Prepares and completes required departmental compliance forms including ensuring required information is accurate for timely submission of all required forms and developing and maintaining documentation and standards;
Contributes to and implements recommendations on advancing operations within the department to gain efficiencies, and grow revenue, if applicable;
Contributes to quality assurance and continuous quality/performance improvement in department activities, including supporting department director, and unit leader in annual assessments of respective budget activities all while ensuring databases are designed to meet specifications and requirements at the lowest possible costs;
Supports the Knowledge and Technology team in the implementation of the Association’s programs, priorities, and projects in partnership with supervisor and staff colleagues;
Prepares in consultation with the Manager, department level data which supports and aligns with the APTA data strategy including gathering, organizing, and interpreting statistical data from the database to provide reports to, and answer questions from, upper management.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Data Science/Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or 5+ years related experience
Proficient using Analytics Tool such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI
Proficient in Transact SQL and Fetch XML
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Experience with ProTech Microsoft Dynamics CRM/Association Management System a plus
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of database design and construction. Education and Experience
Experience in interviewing business users, collecting, and interpreting requirements, and explaining the solution details to the business audience
