Responsible for providing support to the Membership Department in order to recruit, retain, and develop membership with the Georgia Dental Association.
Description of Primary Responsibilities
Provides administrative support to the membership department.
Assists with answering member/prospective member inquiries/concerns received via phone, email, or online including: membership status, membership programs/services, and dues related questions and providing follow-up as necessary and logging all pertinent call info for reference.
Helps process membership dues checks and credit card payments.
Assists in updating member information and sharing with all appropriate departments.
Assist members with GDA website, CE, Convention login/access issues as needed
Handles returned member mail including researching and contacting members to obtain accurate information and updating in management software.
Assist with various membership mailing campaigns including:
Sending New Member Welcome Packets
Membership Card Distribution
Membership Renewal Campaigns
Non-Member Incentive Campaigns
Continuously seeks ways to contribute to membership growth and retention.
Actively engages/prospective members through daily outbound calls and other outreach efforts
Works with VP of Membership on planning and executing call campaigns
Addresses member inquiries/concerns
Assists with generating appropriate reports from Aptify to send to district Presidents, endorsed partners, and/or GDA Action Journal/publications on monthly basis.
Assists in reviewing membership rosters for discrepancies including out of state members, inaccurate counties, etc. and reporting findings to VP of Membership.
Assists with additional special projects as assigned
Qualifications, Skills, and Education Requirements
The ideal candidate will have one to two years of association member relations or customer service experience. Looking for someone who is highly organized to work independently and as a team player, strong attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, and a customer service mentality. Knowledge of Microsoft Suite preferred as well as the ability to learn and utilize in-house, industry-specific software applications.
Candidates with the following qualifications will have an advantage: college degree and experience with customer experience (particularly within a professional association context).
