value to IEEE members and generate net surpluses in the Continuing Education business unit. They will work in concert with volunteer and staff leadership of the Continuing Education Committee to define the product strategy for institutional, individual, and member value focused activities. She/he will interact with staff, volunteers, vendors, and outside experts, as well as internal departments such as IEEE Marketing, Sales and Design Product Management & Development, Global Sales, IT, Finance, Technical Society Leadership, etc.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Master's preferred.
10-15 years successful professional experience at leading a business team toward greater revenue growth
In-depth knowledge of engineering, computing and STEM fields preferred
Experience working with higher education customers, specifically in the corporate, academic and government markets required. Background in selling products to professional engineers strongly preferred
Demonstrated expertise in both product management and developing third party business partnerships
Proven management ability to inspire direct and indirect staff to set and exceed continuously improving goals
Experience working with direct sales teams preferred
Exceptional communication, multi-tasking and leadership skills
Significant product management skills or certification, ideally digital products in the continuing education market
Expertise with Microsoft office suite, Google docs or equivalent
15-20% travel should be expected
