The National Association for Proton Therapy (NAPT),  an independent nonprofit trade association, is growing and searching for a program manager to join our dynamic and creative remote team.  We offer a supportive, flexible and mission-driven environment with the opportunity for gaining experience in a variety of areas by assisting with various tasks for our association.  

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Program Manager will be responsible for the daily administration of member programs and benefits for full, associate, and corporate members.  This includes administrative support to member committees and the Board of Directors. This position will be responsible for corporate compliance, daily management of accounting issues, management of annual member dues, the annual benchmarking survey data collection and support of the organization’s strategic plan. Member Support and Administration

• Schedule monthly committee meetings and provide administrative support to members
• Prepare and manage annual invoices and dues tracking
• Manage communication between committee members and respond to member questions/concerns
• Maintain membership directory and manage database through Higher Logic software
• Assistance with accounts payable through online software

Industry Trends & Data

• Collect and analyze member benchmarking surveys and aggregate and distribute to members
• Manage and execute updates and revisions of the Strategic Plan as needed
• Manage clinical research database
• Support Director of Marketing with content management of website and member platform

Administrative and Operational Duties

• Maintain compliance with state registrations and insurance policies
• Provide necessary information to auditors and tax preparation consultants
• Collaborate and support with the event planning staff to successfully execute the annual conference
• Provides general support to special projects as assigned
• All other reasonable job duties that are customary for the position and/or requested by the Executive Director
• Review/work with Executive Director on the annual budget

NAPT was founded in 1990 to educate and increase awareness about the clinical benefits of proton therapy. Proton therapy is one of the most advanced methods of radiation treatment available today due to its unique ability to allow radiation treatment doses to be delivered to cancerous tumors while minimizing radiation exposure to healthy tissues and organs.

The NAPT’s mission is to work collaboratively to;

• educate and raise awareness of the clinical benefits of proton therapy among patients, providers, clinicians, payers, policymakers, and other stakeholders,
• ensure patient choice and access to affordable proton therapy, and
• encourage cooperative research and innovation to advance the appropriate and cost-effective utilization of proton therapy.

The NAPT’s supporting members include 40 of the nation’s leading cancer centers, a number of whom are National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers and National Comprehensive Care Network (NCCN) members.

Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Minimum 2 years experience
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
Mastery of Excel, membership platform software, and Microsoft Office
Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Attention to detail and accuracy
Available to work during core business hours
Travel expected during annual conference and intermittently when requested by Executive Director
