The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), a membership association created to advance the art and science of ophthalmic surgery and the knowledge and skills of ophthalmic surgeons, is seeking a Clinical Education Coordinator. The Clinical Education Coordinator will report to the Director of Clinical Education and provide administrative support to the department. Position is fully remote.
Job duties and responsibilities:
Maintain all ASCRS Clinical Committee and Education Committee rosters and term dates for internal use.
Point of contact to field external calls pertaining to educational programming including the ASCRS Annual Meeting, Summer Meeting, and other education programs that happen throughout the year.
Create, distribute, and maintain education program faculty documents, and communications.
Data entry and maintenance within ASCRS Annual Meeting conference database.
Update website listings for all ASCRS Clinical Committees and Education Committees.
Provide support to the Clinical Education Team onsite at the ASCRS Annual Meeting, to include assisting at program registration check-in, working member central, and other activities requested by the department.
Other tasks as assigned by Department Director and team members.
Serve as back-up to team members when needed.
May require lifting to 25 lbs.
Occasional domestic travel to ophthalmic meetings, and/or company activities as needed. 10% per year or less.
Experience, knowledge, and skill requirements:
MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task, organizational and time management skills, strong communication skills- written and verbal
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree or minimum 5 years’ applicable experience in lieu of degree.
