The International Society of Explosives Engineers (ISEE), a 501 (c)6 professional society, has an immediate opening for an ambitious and motivated professional to take the position of Education and Programs Manager. This is a new position, responsible for creating a dynamic portfolio of education and training programs ISEE will offer its members, stakeholders, and industry. The selected individuals will have numerous resources at their disposal including ISEE’s Annual Conference, Committee’s, Sections, Chapters, and partner organizations.
ISEE is an international society, representing approximately 4,000 members throughout the world. Our Annual Conference attendance exceeds 1,300 registrants. ISEE Committees, Sections, and Chapters are responsible for producing important content that educates, trains, and protects our members, stakeholders, and industry.
Main responsibilities include:
Creating new educational and training programs of value to the membership, stakeholders, and industry.
Conducting an inventory assessment of current products and services, which include ISEE’s online program and ISEE Certificate Program, to gauge relevance to our community.
Working with ISEE Committees, Sections, and Chapters to identify new program opportunities, partnerships, and dissemination channels.
Managing the ISEE Call for Abstracts and Papers portion of the ISEE Annual Meeting and its related subcommittee.
Working with ISEE’s international partners to assure agreement deliverables are met and new opportunities identified.
Working with ISEE Chapter leaders and the ISEE Membership & Chapter Committee to build and manage strong relationships with volunteers.
Promoting ISEE’s scholarship program through the ISEE Chapter network, membership, post-secondary institutions, and K-12 schools.
Work with fellow ISEE staff to strengthen the ISEE brand.
3-5 years proven experience in a professional, trade, or similar association turning content into in-demand program offerings.
Action-oriented, able to make recommendations based on research, and meet aggressive deadlines.
An entrepreneurial spirit able to create and build something new.
Able to connect organizational strategy to program deliverables.
Enjoys solving challenges and identifying solutions.
Ability to lead committee meetings and help committees define and meet annual goals.
Must be able to work with WORD, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Zoom. Able to quickly learn iMIS, a2z Personify, and Open Water.
Strong relationship builder with internal and external partners.
Has great respect for the time, talent, and wisdom volunteers bring to the table.
This position reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with volunteers and staff to ensure the success of the overall association.
Remote Work and Travel Requirements:
Position may work remotely with quarterly travel to the ISEE office. Additional travel includes attending the ISEE Annual Conference, Board of Directors Strategic Planning Retreat, ISEE Chapter Meetings, building relationships with members and stakeholders, and prepping the shipment for the Annual Meeting. The ISEE office is located southwest of Cleveland, OH.
The salary range for this position is in the low-$60k’s and includes a competitive benefits package.
