Position Title: Member Services Coordinator Reports to: Association CEO/Executive Director Location(s): Virtual Office location Full-time Position
The Member Services Coordinator reports to the CEO/Executive Director of NEFA (located in west Michigan). This position will focus on membership retention, increase member engagement, membership database management, general office support, managing conference exhibitors, plus other duties assigned.
Membership Management, Engagement, and Retention
Document and maintain the “notes” tab in the database for all contacts with current members
Follow up with new members through a coordinated member onboarding and engagement process
Assist in contacting via telephone, mail, or email on delinquent members to secure payment
Improve and enhance member engagement
Develop strategies to increase engagement with inactive members
Create monthly new member and retention reports
Manage the membership database and update to ensure accuracy on a daily basis
Event Support and Exhibitor Management
Provide support for NEFA virtual, regional and two annual conferences
Responsible for managing the exhibitors at two annual conferences
Assist with conference preparation
Attend all staff meetings
Staff liaison for various committees (TBD) (reports, meeting agendas, etc.)
Attend and assist in all association events
Maintain a positive working relationship with all members
Assist other staff members in normal course of business activities when help is needed
Various administrative tasks
Special projects and other duties as requested or assigned by the CEO
Attend two national conferences each year and assist with all conference-related duties prior to, during, and after the two annual conferences as directed by the CEO
Assist with other events as needed
Desired Skill Set:
5-10 years of membership experience in an association or other corporate environment
Strong technological skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
Strong knowledge of Microsoft office suite – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
A strong personality with experience cultivating relationships with association members
Ability to work with remote team members
Strong database management experience
Salesforce CRM experience desired but not required
CVENT software experience desired but not required
Bookkeeping experience desired but not required
College degree required; concentration in business preferred.

Additional Salary Information: 45k-55k Salary, Benefits include vacation, sick leave, and Simple IRA.
