The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) is seeking a dynamic, highly organized, self-starter to fill the role of manager of association services. The manager of association services is the primary point of contact for ACA-managed association(s). Reporting to the senior vice president of operations, the incumbent is the key contact for ACA-managed association(s) and will engage with volunteer leadership on a regular, consistent basis to develop constructive relationships that foster trust, accountability, and measurable productivity. The incumbent provides direct, hands-on support and consultative services to managed association; serves as staff liaison to its committees and board; and is readily available, accessible, and responsive to ensure seamless, effective, and timely communication between leadership of the managed association and ACA. The incumbent coordinates and collaborates with other departments at ACA to ensure ACA’s contractual obligations to the managed association(s) are met.
This position requires the individual to demonstrate strong volunteer relationship management skills, self-direction, organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to professional service.
Responsible for membership renewal processing, including data management, customer service, and benefits fulfillment.
Collaborates with ACA’s membership department as needed on recruitment and retention initiatives and activities.
Tracks and monitors retention and produce a monthly membership report to leadership of the managed association.
Assists in producing the managed association’s electronic newsletter, working in collaboration with ACA’s communications team and the managed associations editorial committee.
Coordinates and manages member access to the online community forum and coordinate with ACA’s communications team when assistance is needed on the development and delivery of messaging to the managed- association’s membership.
Maintains a general understanding of the managed association’s finances.
Works with ACA’s finance team to provide regular and timely financial reporting to leadership and coordinate other accounting support as needed.
Education & Events
Collaborates with the managed association’s professional development and/or education committees to provide administrative support for educational programming, including administration of CEUs.
Coordinates with and assist ACA’s education team as needed to support online program development, production, and delivery.
Assists in minimal event planning (content development, speaker management, contract review and negotiation).
Serves as staff liaison to managed association’s committees to support their ongoing work.
Assists with all committee meetings including, scheduling meetings, creating agendas, taking minutes, tracking and following through on action items and communicating regularly with leadership.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Develops and documents standard operating procedures and business rules to ensure consistency and continuity of operations.
Recommend process improvements when appropriate.
Maintain accurate records of all component groups’ organizational documents and update related online information.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
College degree or equivalent work/training experience is required with 5-7 years of experience in association/nonprofits. Strong emphasis on familiarity with chapter operations/relations, committee support, direct contact with members, and close collaboration with volunteer leadership. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills are a must and candidates should have experience in positions requiring good judgment, problem solving and project management skills.
