Project Coordinator AUTM/FLC

AUTM is the nonprofit leader in efforts to educate, promote and inspire professionals to support the development of academic research that changes the world and drives innovation forward through technology transfer. In this role, as Project Coordinator, you will be employed by AUTM in support of its agreement to run the Federal Laboratory Consortium (FLC), in charge of national and regional awards programs and supporting other regional meeting needs. This a remote position and is open to candidates in all geographic areas, but applicants based in the Washington, D.C. or Chicago areas are preferred to facilitate more frequent meetings with other staff.

What you will do:

• Promote the availability, benefit, and value of Federal laboratory assets through technology transfer to improve national economic prosperity and execution of lab missions
• Coordinate with other staff to deliver an Annual Awards Program
• Coordinate annual call for awards, submission portal and accompanying sites, judging, selection, and delivery of FLC awards (6 regional and one national program)
• Work with the FLC Awards Subcommittee to continually evolve the FLC Award programs to reflect membership demand
• Work with Award winners to coordinate ordering and shipping of Awards and Certificates for both national and regional award programs
• Coordinate strategies and efforts across the National and Regional FLC programs to promote the FLC member labs
• Work with marketing team to develop scripts and run of show for the Awards ceremonies and assist with all logistics (at in-persona and virtual events)
• Support the FLC “Roadshow” to host exhibits and activities that communicates FLC programs to interested companies and other potential partners for federal lab research and development
• Provide onsite or virtual support (based on program needs) at FLC meetings and events
• Support pilots, programs, and events that deploy “outreach” efforts to increase company to lab transactional opportunities
• Record the interactions and connections made via the above programs
