Under direction of KAHC Executive Director, the position is responsible for coordinating all KAHC membership communications and assisting with all KAHC event-related activities
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Maintaining content schedule and delivering items deemed relevant to membership using multiple platforms and social media channels (ongoing).
Maintaining KAHC website and membership information archived in Association database (CRM), processing new membership applications (ongoing).
Oversight and delivery of Association membership newsletter (twice per month).
Providing Members with project-related resources surrounding Highway industry lettings (typically monthly).
Updating and managing production of KAHC Membership Directory (printed annually).
Managing the Association balloting process for open leadership positions (annually).
Event Planning and Logistics
Assisting with the planning and logistics for any annual in-person and/or virtual events held for KAHC membership or stakeholders; including but not limited to:
Day at the Capitol/Legislative reception
Sporting Clay Event
Day at the Races
Past Chairperson’s Dinner
KAHC Board meetings
Any other duties as requested by KAHC Executive Staff members.

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to KAHC members and stakeholder audiences.
Possess excellent organizational skills; strong ability to plan and prioritize work.

Ability to remain flexible and adaptive to changes in the work environment.

Ability to work in Frankfort, Kentucky, Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 PM.
Additional Salary Information: Final salary and compensation will be determined based on level of experience and skill sets

Since 1921 The Kentucky Association of Highway Contractors, Inc (KAHC) has been the organization that represents companies that perform highway construction related work for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) and the companies that provide equipment, materials, and services to support those construction companies. We represent approximately 270 members (135 contractor members and 135 members). Our member companies perform about 90% of all work awarded by KYTC. KAHC provides education and advocacy to promote, preserve, and protect the highway construction industry in Kentucky.
