POSITION(S) REPORTS TO: VACC Board of Directors and EDI Managing Partner
POSITION(S) THAT REPORT TO YOU: Certification Manager
STATUS: Exempt
GENERAL SUMMARY: Closely monitors all client activities and provides important decision-making information to client and certification board leadership. Provides professional direction and support for all client activities, projects, meetings, and campaigns.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week)
Coordinate agendas and other materials for Board meetings and conference calls.
Attend in-person Board meetings.
Attend monthly Board conference calls.
Assist Board president in leading conference calls and in-person meetings of the Board.
Review minutes of Board meetings and conference calls.
Oversee and implement all activities approved by the Board.
Oversee implementation of strategic goals as directed by Board president.
Oversee legal responsibilities of the organization (taxes, bylaws, certificant grievances, trademarks, etc.).
Oversee financial activities, including payment of invoices, budget preparation, monthly financial records, annual audit, etc.
Act as liaison to exam-administration company.
Provide leadership and direction to staff.
Supervise day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the association.
Assist in developing and implementing VACC’s annual marketing plan including determining appropriate target audiences and institutions, objectives, tactics and desired outcomes under the direction of the Executive Director.
Monitor and evaluate of the success of individual tactics and marketing plan as a whole.
Coordinate content management of the VACC website including: generation of content, development of new website initiatives, and general maintenance and monitoring.
Coordinate the creation of all VACC promotional materials from idea to completion for: brochures, press releases, broadcast emails, Certificant materials, flyers, print ads, and other communications.
Travel to selected tradeshows with Board members to promote the VACC, based on the marketing plan. Coordinate the design and materials for the booth display, including giveaway items.
Manage the production of the quarterly newsletter in print and email.
Act as staff liaison for committees as needed.
Handle all activities associated with the VACC exhibiting at various conferences, including staffing the booth.
Other duties as assigned.
AMOUNT OF TRAVEL REQUIRED:
Approximately 15 days per year. Some weekend and evening work may be required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or professional experience in a related field and excellent written and verbal skills.
