Reports To: Senior Director, Finance & Administration

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA), an $8 million budget organization, seeks a highly motivated Senior Manager of Finance reporting to the Senior Director of Finance & Administration to lead the day-to-day finance and administrative operations of the organization and its related entities. The Senior Manager of Finance will supervise the functional responsibility over accounts payable, accounts receivable, and benefits administration.
The ideal candidate should have relevant non-profit experience, demonstrate a can-do attitude, forward-thinking, be proactive, a hands-on professional who is comfortable rolling up his/her sleeves and working collaboratively in a fast-paced organization.
The Senior Manager of Finance will play an integral role in supporting the Senior Director of Finance & Administration with the preparation and presentation of the Financial Reports to the Senior Leadership team, the Finance Committee and the Board.
The Senior Manager of Finance will ensure PHTA has the systems and procedures in place to support effective financial reporting, program analysis and conduct flawless audits. In addition, the Senior Manager of Finance will partner with the Senior Director of Finance & Administration in managing and enhancing the HR, IT and Administrative functions of the organization.
General ledger-maintain the organization’s system of accounts, ledgers, and fiscal records on all transactions and assets, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and legal and regulatory requirements. (Great Plains).
Financial reporting-prepares month end close and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner. Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Financial analysis-Consistently analyze financial data, financial trends and ensure all department expenditures are consistently aligned with related budgets and keep the Senior Leadership Team informed of financial changes.
Budget preparation- Assist senior leadership team in the annual budgeting and planning process.
Internal controls- maintain effective internal control and safeguards for cash management.
Cash flow forecasting-take lead in managing cash flow to assess financial efficacy of programs and operating needs.
Audit and Tax Reporting-Lead the annual independent audit and any additional audits required by specific donors or funding agencies. Provides necessary data for 990 tax filing.
Statutory Filing- Ensure state sales tax, property tax, state annual reports are filed in timely manner.
Payroll- Prepare bi-weekly payroll for processing by a third-party vendor (ADP), ensure benefits deductions, tax deductions and leave accruals are accurate.
Retirement- Track and disburse semi-monthly 401(K) retirement payments and provide review of plan for compliance with plan guidelines. Ensure annual F5500 is filed in a timely manner.

Qualification, Knowledge and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
Minimum of 7 years of related work experience in Finance and auditing; including work in non-profit organizations with multi-entities preferably.
Familiarity with GAAP and tax reporting for not for profit organizations
Technology savvy and advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software
Keen analytic and problem-solving skills and create processes improvements and efficiencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board or other outside partners
Strong leadership skills, strategic thinker who, in partnership with the SDFA will own the Finance & Administration department.
Attention to detail and ability to perform all tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and web-based applications
Proficiency in Great Plains and Management Reporter or similar accounting systems
Knowledge of AMS systems
