The Events Manager shall serve as the conference, event and meeting planner for the Property Management Association. PMA hosts approximately 25 annual events including a trade show with approximately 200 exhibitors and 1,000 attendees. The Events Manager should be a creative and enthusiastic professional with experience in association conference and special event management.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Plan and manage logistical arrangements for approximately 25 annual events: catering, meeting and exhibit space, programming, audiovisual, trade show set-up, signage, special needs requirements, event security, accommodations, transportation and other arrangements as needed.
Manage keynote speakers and session presenters.
Manage three event planning committees.
Manage administrative aspects of event reservations and sales.
Negotiate contracts with such service providers and suppliers as hotels, convention centers, caterers, photographers, production companies and speakers for annual conference as well as several banquets, ceremonies, summits, seminars, meetings and more.
Maintain records of event aspects, including financial details.
Assist with preparing budgets and provide periodic progress reports to staff for each event project.

At least 2 to 4 years’ experience coordinating special events.
At least 2 to 4 years’ experience working in the association industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
Marketing experience a plus.
