We’re seeking a strategically oriented leader with strong interpersonal skills and industry experience to serve as our next President & CEO.
The President & CEO provides leadership, direction, and guidance for FUELIowa and our affiliated organizations, RINAlliance and the HEALTHAlliance Benefit Plan. This individual works collaboratively with three separate Board of Directors. The President/CEO leads staff and oversees all operations, business plans, and programs, while communicating, supporting, and reinforcing the FUELIowa mission, vision, and standards. Our top executive works with legislators and regulatory agencies to promote policies that support FUELIowa’s mission and address issues on behalf of our members.

Qualified Candidates should have:
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years progressive experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
CAE (Certified Association Executive) designation required
Experience in fuel-related industries
Knowledge of and experience in management and administration of human resources, finance, planning and evaluation and governance
Ability to promote a positive atmosphere
Experience in Mediator/Facilitator/Board management
Proven ability to advance an organization’s vision/mission, while anticipating future trends and impact
MBA, MPA, or Master’s degree in other related areas
Experience and understanding of urban and rural communities within Iowa
Additional Salary Information: Bonus eligible
Formed in 1937, FUELIowa’s members include fuel distributors, fuel cooperatives, convenience and grocery stores, refiners, biofuel producers and many other businesses that support these companies. They are invested in bringing the best gasoline, diesel, propane, ethanol, biodiesel and other liquid fuels to Iowans.
