Washington, DC based association management firm seeks highly motivated individual to provide member services, database, website and project management support for a growing client. This individual will have the opportunity to learn a variety of areas of association management. Friendly and flexible office environment in Washington, DC. Create reports to track effectiveness of member recruitment and retention, communication and marketing plans
Conduct surveys and focus groups of members when appropriate to gauge member and prospective options
Oversee data quality and integrity of the membership database
Participate in networking events to drive member engagement
Respond to member and prospective member inquires through email, telephone and web
Manage membership accounts receivables process with membership services team to ensure timely payment of dues
Manage membership distribution lists
Onboard new members
Compile, edit and distribute the weekly Member Bulletin
Manage membership website
Manage Board meeting membership reports and presentation with quarterly and annual update on membership recruitment, retention and engagement
Manage monthly membership web-based meeting
Provide membership marketing content for event marketing to drive attendance and membership for events
Provide project and administrative support as needed
Assist with planning Annual Meeting
There is no travel anticipated for this position.
This is a largely sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.
A minimum of three years’ experience in member services
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficient in working in membership databases and website platforms
Experience in working in Constant Contact or similar html email program
Experience with remote meeting platforms (GoToMeeting, Zoom, etc.)
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to manage multiple projects
Excellent problem-solving capabilities and resourceful under pressure
Ability to work both in a team environment and independently
