The newly forming Wisconsin Hospice & Palliative Care Association (WHPCA) has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Director to help us launch this organization.
Are you a Wisconsin-based professional with a passion for healthcare advocacy, a flair for building and maintaining relationships, and a drive to succeed? If you have experience in association management and the ability to lead others through a rapidly changing environment, you may be the candidate we are looking for.
Serving in a contract capacity, this evolving role will ensure that the WHPCA provides high-value services to a growing membership base of hospice and palliative care providers and other interested parties by engaging with association members (and prospective members), the Board of Directors, state authorities and legislators, other associations and providers, and the community.
Build and maintain an active membership base, connecting prospects and members with highly valued services.
Manage business operations including budgets, risk management, and other service vendors.
Advise the Board of Directors through financial reporting, policy/procedure development, meeting management, and strategic planning.
Assess educational needs of the membership and coordinate educational programming, resources and funding.
Develop and enhance relationships with relevant organizations, agencies and associations, and regularly engage with key staff in political and regulatory advocacy.
Wisconsin-based, experienced leader
Demonstrated history of relationship-building/advocacy
Ability to lead others through a rapidly changing environment
Meaningful experience in health care, public policy and not-for-profit or trade association management.
Ability and willingness to travel.
Telecommuting is allowed.
