We’re seeking a dynamic, experienced PR pro to increase the awareness of our national medical association in print, broadcast and social media. The successful candidate for this full-time position will have:
top-notch and creative written communication skills, with an ability to clearly and concisely express complicated medical concepts to a general audience
knowledge of the health news media and strong current working relationships with national and local media
demonstrated success in obtaining placements
knowledge of and experience in dynamically using social media to effectively build awareness among various audiences
experience in creatively writing and producing member newsletters
at least 4 years of media relations experience, with physician member association background a plus
a bachelor’s degree in public relations or marketing communications
The Public Relations Manager will work with the Director of Marketing and Communication to develop and execute proactive integrated communications plans and strategies, produce and write member and patient newsletters and manage the association’s websites.
