AHCA/NCAL is seeking a Manager of Conferences & Meetings with a commitment to improving lives by delivering solutions for quality care. This position will be responsible for logistical planning and management of the Congressional Briefing Conference (425pp) and 14 AHCA/NCAL governance and committee meetings. This role is also responsible for various AHCA/NCAL Annual Convention & Expo logistical operations and vendor procurement and supports additional logistical needs for AHCA/NCAL meetings, events, conferences and convention.
Skills & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required. CMP a plus, but not required. Four to six years hotel or convention/meetings work experience preferred.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Knowledge of hotel, exhibit and/or event planning.
Excellent computer proficiency—MS Office, Word, Excel.
Ability to learn and use new software quickly, including AHCA/NCAL Pro-tech Windows/Web based Association Management System.
Demonstrated analytical skills; excellent written and verbal skills; ability to work independently; attention to detail and superior organizational skills; good decision making and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to negotiate difficult situations with calmness, diplomacy, and decisiveness.
Superior customer service skills.
Ability to work as a team player at department and organizational levels.
