Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in Real Estate, Urban/Regional Planning, Business Administration, Communications, or related field plus 2 years of direct work experience, including professional research and analysis.
Strong advisory, analytical and communication skills. Customer-service attitude. Passionate about serving and growing the community by leading, convening and collaborating with partners to create solutions. Ability to adjust to a variety of situations including communication with businesses, governmental officials, and citizens. Soft skills in building relationships, representing the department at internal or external meetings, and taking initiative to achieve results. Strategic thinker capable of researching and synthesizing information from many sources (including online databases) and ability to communicate and advise coworkers. Early morning, evening and weekend work is required for special events and meetings. Travel, as required.
