The National Turkey Federation (NTF) is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Communications Manager. As a member of NTF’s Communications and Marketing team, the Communications Manager will work closely with staff, members and related coalitions to craft creative communications pieces and implement the federation’s comprehensive communications strategy. The Communications Manager will also provide support for NTF’s coordinated outreach/promotional events on behalf of the turkey industry. The candidate must be highly-motivated with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. Graphic design skills are strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
At least two years of public relations and/or consumer marketing experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal, presentation, problem solving and customer service skills.
Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design tools.
Ability to deliver top-quality communication materials, including articles, high-impact emails and PowerPoint presentations for senior leaders.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and databases, like Constant Contact.
Experience or interest in interpreting and reporting on analytical information.
Experience with photography and video production/editing.
Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects and to prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, be flexible and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Practical understanding of animal agriculture and food production.
