Composite Panel Association (CPA), under the supervision of the Senior Marketing Director, is seeking a design-minded Marketing Communications Manager to be responsible for managing the marketing communications and digital marketing activities with specific outreach to the architect and design community utilizing media platforms such as Houzz, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Job responsibilities include general association communications, educational outreach and annual meetings and events to support the composite panel wood products and decorative surfacing industries.
Communications Duties Include (60%):
Responsible for all aspects of association’s digital marketing presence
Manage social media networks, including creating and designing posts and paid campaigns
Manage association website by creating and editing content, optimizing SEO, executing paid search campaigns and developing analytics reports
Write, edit and publish weekly electronic member newsletter
Create and oversee the design of print magazine ads and other collateral material
Develop and present short report on digital marketing initiatives during annual meetings
Educational Outreach Duties Include (30%):
Manage CPA’s presence at 3-4 trade shows annually, including booth design, collateral material and follow-up communication to leads. Onsite management at 2 trade shows per year
Manage the development of the association’s Buyers Guide content that appears in industry magazine
Manage all aspects of the association’s CEU program, including administration with accrediting agencies
Manage the development of new multimedia educational materials that promote industry products, including videos, infographics and gifs.
Annual Meetings and Events (10%):
Develop online and print marketing and promotional materials, including onsite attendee brochure
Attend two annual meetings each year and assist with onsite logistics, meeting planning duties
Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in marketing, public relations or communications.
4-6 years experience in communications or marketing
Digital marketing and design experience required
Association or non-profit experience preferred
Proactive, creative approach to communicating marketing messages, including use of graphics/visuals and multimedia beyond just written content
Writes clearly and persuasively in all situations
Detail-oriented; consistently produces high-quality work without close supervision
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with fast turnaround, while also managing larger longer-term projects
Excellent interpersonal skills, outgoing personality, and desire to provide outstanding customer service.
Strong knowledge and experience with social media platforms including (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter). Knowledge of Pinterest and Houzz is a plus.
Experience with Google AdWords and Analytics, Constant Contact and Sendible (or similar) required
Proficiency in Photoshop or equivalent required
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher) required (Office 365 preferred).
Basic knowledge of HTML preferred
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign (or similar) experience preferred
TRAVEL REQUIRED (approximately 5%)
2-3 U.S. trade shows per year (3-5 days in length)
2 annual association meetings in North America per year (4-6 days in length)
