Position Summary: The Association Manager will play an integral part in supporting and leading the Association’s various committees and membership efforts.
Overall Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Board of Directors to identify key and strategic initiatives.
Responsible for all aspects of committee work including but not limited to scheduling meetings, developing agendas, attending meetings, recording minutes, and driving action items.
Develop and implement a strategic membership plan to acquire and retain members.
Assist members of multiple associations with inquiries related to membership, events, and benefits.
Developing membership communications
Maintain and update membership record databases.
Assist with member communications planning.
Collect data, track membership statistics, and prepare reports.
Provide onsite support for conferences when necessary.
Provide support to event managers.
Follow up on outstanding membership invoices to secure payments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or related field (Relevant work experience may be substituted for formal education.)
3-5 years of association experience.
Experience working with association management systems (AMS).
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Necessary soft skills:
Time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with different timelines.
Comfort in the member-facing role.
Excellent judgment of when to escalate matters.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
