One of the most unique and interesting associations/insurance operations in the country is looking for a dynamic positive and high-performing professional to join its team. The Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina, located in Cary, North Carolina is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities:

Finance and Accounting For a 501(c)6, 501(c)3, Two For Profit Entities and two Political Action Committees

• Develop and implement systems, processes and procedures to ensure integrity of financial information and internal controls to safeguard the association’s assets.
• Provide relevant and timely information to the Board of Directors, CEO and Sr. management for decision making.
• Monitor association expenditures and revenues Vs budget; advise CEO, Boards of Directors and management team of trends and potential issues.
• Coordinate audits by the association’s external auditors and any taxing authority.
• Supervise and develop staff to ensure the association has necessary skills in the Finance/Accounting area.
• Manage and coordinate the association’s investment portfolio, banking relationships and cash flow to ensure maximum return in line with investment policy of the Board of Directors.

• Human Resources
• Develop policies and systems to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws  
• related to human resources, pension, benefits and payroll practices.
• Manage association benefit program including fiduciary responsibility for two pension plansAssist senior managers with recruiting, terminations and other employee related issues.
